Despite the need to improve survival rates of dialysis patients and the acknowledged survival benefit that HDF offers, there is limited utilization of HDF in some countries. In this presentation, a value-based case for HDF from the patient, provider, and payor perspectives will be presented and potential barriers to greater utilization of HDF will be considered. This presentation will guide you through the clinical studies and explain the evidence available for the advantages of high-volume HDF compared to standard high flux hemodialysis.
