Inequity and bias occur at both the interpersonal and institutional level of healthcare and can lead to inaccurate or delayed diagnoses, poorer quality care, and worse outcomes. This special roundtable webinar will review current trends and disparities in access to kidney care and dialysis, examine the impact of using race in estimating glomerular filtration rate (eGFR) equations, and will feature a discussion on strategies to overcome bias and advance kidney health equity. Physician, social worker, and patient perspectives will be included, with speakers discussing their experiences and practical approaches.
