<\/div>[vc_column_text]ECMO Fundamentals: Circuit and Modalities<\/span><\/p>\n

Extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) circuitry is designed to provide cardiac and\/or respiratory support for patients, and a complete circuit requires the seamless integration of several fundamental components. Each of these components may be susceptible to complications or malfunction, and it is imperative for clinicians involved in the delivery of ECMO therapy to be aware of not only how these components interact with each other, but also how to address potential complications with evidence-based troubleshooting techniques. In addition, different modalities of ECMO may be employed according to clinical circumstances, and clinicians should be aware of fundamental differences among the different ECMO modalities to optimize therapy safety and efficacy. This webinar is designed to provide a solid didactic foundation for these topics, using case-based discussion to highlight key teaching points on ECMO circuitry and modalities.<\/span><\/p>\n
